Chief Moore is not the problem. Chief Moore is not the reason local law enforcement cannot fully enforce immigration laws.

"the potential loss of 300 officers due to budget cuts" is the problem.

The Minuteman Project, in conjunction with Rhode Islanders for Immigration Law Enforcement (RIILE.org), is coming to Providence in October to bring awareness to the New England states that they, too, are now as much of a border state as California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

Join us. Details to follow soon.

The unfortunate death of any law enforcement officer is always a sad and tragic event.
Nothing can bring Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas back to his wife, his two infant children, and his saddened fellow members of the U.S. Border Patrol.

This irreversible tragedy could have been prevented if the new style of border fencing had been erected in the area of Campo, Ca. where the illegal alien assailants trespassed over the U.S. border.

Every two months I survey the progress of the 16-foot high, steel and concrete reinforced fence being constructed along the California-Mexico border. There are no illegal aliens trespassing into the U.S., either on foot or by vehicle, where this new style of fencing has been erected.

Without a doubt, the new fence is a very effective deterrent to the illegal alien and illegal drug traders who have used our unprotected border as an easy pathway into the United States...the same easy pathway that allowed some of them to kill Agent Rosas.

We need the new fencing along most of our southern border, not just in random parts of it. That, accompanied by a doubling of our U.S. Border Patrol agents and some high tech observation and detection equipment would forever solve the criminal problems we invite into our homeland by having porous borders.

The Obama administration should pick up the pace of fence construction along the entire southern border. The sooner a seamless fence is in place, the sooner we can protect our Border Patrol agents and our citizens from further senseless carnage.

Sincerely Yours,

Dear readers,

I am not being sued by anyone in California. The Minuteman Project has filed criminal complaints against, and is suing, some individuals who we feel have broken federal and state laws in what appears to be a criminal attempt to seize and plunder the Minuteman Project. These individuals are also associated with an individual who outwardly calls for the shooting death of illegal aliens who cross our borders. That is not the vision for which the Minuteman Project was created.

As far as the "commanders" posting above, it is an example of
the selfish territorialism (tribalism) for which the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is known. It is also an organization that is wholly owned and operated by an East coast professional fund raising company for the sole purpose of luring donations from a naive public, in my opinion. Actually, Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is being sued by a disgruntled donor who claims his donation for a so-called border fence project was squandered. I agree with the suitor and have been audible with my criticism about what I refer to as a bogus fund-raising campaign. Naive donors should not have to fund a border fence that the federal government should pay for with money already collected from US taxpayers.

Despite false claims to the contrary by some sour grapes in the immigration law enforcement advocacy movement (like Cohen and Commander above), the Minuteman Project continues to recruit volunteers for border observation trips through border defense groups like Bob Wright's PBA and Shawna Forde's MAD.

The Minuteman Project also pushes the issue of illegal immigration through city council appearances, writing books, appearing on thousands of radio and TV programs, conducting street rallies, and speaking as keynote participants at countless public seminars.

My advise to the sour grapes:

To be persuasive you must be believable. To be believable you must be credible. And to be credible, you must be truthful.

Congressional Candidate Hal Valeche is all of that. Now you know why I endorsed him for Congress.
